This Exquisite piece of Natural Art work was
found by the Author in Western Queensland.

Rescued from certain destruction by Bulldozers
in the process of Scrub Clearing for future
cultivation for cropping.

It was an Iron Bark Burl. The Head shape
was created by White Ants who had made
the Burl their home.

The passage ways go all the way to the
inside of the Burl. They come to life when a red light bulb is placed inside...

Iron Bark trees are from the Eucalypt family. And are called Iron Bark because of
their likeness to cutting threw steel with a chainsaw.
Used extensively for Strainer posts in Yard and Fence building.

Becoming more popular in later years for Bench Tops.
The timber does not warp easily and polishes to a deep red.
A very hardy tree and can survive in the harshest of conditions.

The attraction for the Author is not only the beauty of this piece, but that
you won't find another Burl the same.
